Default How to wire a CC BEC?

Ok so what I can see is that all I have to do is solder the wires to the plug, take out the red wire on the esc receiver plug, and plug the BEC into the batt. port. Is this right? Please tell me if something is wrong here, I have never wired one before. Thanks.

What I am getting is that the BEC is basically acting like a battery. So if I plug it into the battery port then it is like supplying power to the receiver. But you have to diconnect the one that is in the esc by taking out the red wire from the plug and heatshrinking it. I am correct right?

YES and YES that is all you need to do, well that and program the Castle BEC to 6volts with a Castle Programer, it comes from the factory set at 5.1volts.
