Either the Axial comp shocks or the Losi crawler shocks.

take your stock shocks and try a droop setup. It just seems to work for most guys. But as for me i would look into a different chassis. As it is one of the weak links on the axial if you ask me. There are much better options out there for you.

Why is the chassis the weak link? Curious?

very limited options to what you can do with it. Link wise shock wise. there are much better units out there. That can be had to make your truck perform much better.

1) I'm running Stock Axials (r)in full droop and Big bores (f) in the front in full droop

2) Running the same brands but with the LRC soft springs installed.

What about that droop chassis from EEC? Looks pretty effective and reasonably priced.

To be honest. I would have to say go with the t1e chassis right now they seem to be leading the pack. I run a tcs edge tuber and like it sometimes. It is a bit top heavy. But than again i cant stand my axial anymore since i now have a moa rig again.

I just built an underground crawlers ff-4 chassis its a 60/40 chassis. Its designed to run the weight forward in the chassis.Im running droop in front and sprung in the rear. crawls nice look in the vendor section.

The stock Axial chassis ain't really all that bad. IMHO,it's better than some aftermarket chassis's out there that are supposed to be an "upgrade" The biggest drawback to it,is the fact that it's allot wider than most. That's easily dealt with. There's been a handful of guys, myself included, that have modded an Axial chassis so it's skinny. I'll see if I can dig up some older pictures.

After making the chassis right at 2" wide,it seemed to help it allot. With some good 4" shocks set up sprung with some good long upper links,it can work very well. When I ran that chassis,I made my own bent lowers and ran the stock straight lowers as upper links. Worked VERY well for me.

Here's one set up I ran a long time ago. Wanted loooooong uppers. For rear uppers,I doubled up the stock upper links. In the front, those uppers are stock lowers.

Really depends on which way you wanna go with your truck.

If you are going towards a scale build,no question,a Wreckluse would be a very good choice. I've never driven one personally, but have seen them work and talked to guys that own them. They do perform very well for a scale chassis.

If your wanting to build a comp rig,I think the first thing I'd do personally,is get a good set of 4" shocks. Allot of chassis's out there set up for a competition rig,are designed around a 4" shock. That being said,a good set of shocks will not be a waste of money. You can run them on the stock chassis for a little while while you decide on what chassis you want. You can even narrow up the stock chassis with your new shocks and run it for a while longer.
