People put Summit transmissions in Axial SCX10s for the two speed, but I don't think I've heard of an E-Maxx tranny in an AX10 yet. I guess you have one on hand. I bet the gearing will be too high, so you would probably have to change it.

I am sure it could be done, but I think it would not help you COG at all, are you thinking the old school 2 speed E Maxx version or the Newer version? Either way you would have to fab up a tranny mount that would have it sitting up kind of height in the chassis if you want to keep the bottom of the tranny on top of the skid plate, good luck and let us know how it goes if you decide to give it a try...

Search Greatscott in the advanced search under names and look for threads that he has poste he did a Axial with a E-maxx tranny. The best of luck to you.

I was looking to do the same thing in my Axial Ax10 but decide to go lipo and volt up.
