I see a lot of lights, and an ugly lookin bumper. Did you use screws to bolt two wheels together? Paitiently waiting for the dual motor setup pics.

This might turn out to be one of the most impressive builds on RCC:)

rockerrc 08-02-2010 10:10 AM

holly molly dude! bet that things heavy

irishgunslinger1 08-02-2010 10:19 AM

with that much tire on each side youd have to have dual motors...and c/a works much better than gorilla glue..

Harley 08-02-2010 10:22 AM

That's one way to try and get traction with Lizards......use twice a many. Brilliant! Ha!

Ready to see this dual motor deal.

Gorilla glue? I thought it was something else...a guy can get pretty excited when working on his rig;-)

I'm especially digging the dual bumpers. I think you should make it into a 6x6 with a normal far rear axle, but it will really be a 2x4x2.

THE CRAWLER KING 08-02-2010 02:22 PM

Wow thank you everybody I didn't think that I would get this much responses. I have to say thpough that the pictures of the dual motors will be kinda tricky cause they are very close together.

The funny thing is that I get more enjoyment out of building it then playing with it. I'm building on a budget so not gonna have the best stuff. I'll see what I can do with the pictures for the dual motor set up. i'll see if I can get the pictures up today or sometime tommorow.

No offense intended but I think you need to work on a couple of things, one being your camera angles and lighting, and two being your showmanship. I love the ideas and your light set-up. What did you use for the cups on the lights? Way to go on the Dually wheels. It looks awesome, a bit too wide for my tastes but to each his own haha. and I'm gonna have to agree with everyone we need PICS! haha

thomas 08-02-2010 04:15 PM

your steering radius is gonna suck! looks cool though.

First of all my camera really sucks. I bought leds at the DOLLAR TREE. Next is a proline F-650 body top.

As you can see here the transmission is not mounted in the position it is supposed to instead it is mounted to the side for better center of gravity.

As you can see here this is how the transmission is mounted with thos cross bars with the holes in them.

Well thank you."thumbsup" And that's why I mounted the motors sideways.

Plus I'm gonna try to make my battery pack into a saddle pack.

thomas 08-02-2010 09:25 PM

an even better idea would be to get lipo! they rock!

It sure ain't pretty, but it looks like it works, which is the important thing.

I agree with the high cog. Having the trans clocked puts both motors up high instead of just one, like it would be if it were back down on the skid.

You should also plan on getting aluminum knuckles and C's in the near future. That second set of tires is going to put quite a strain on them.

Otherwise, keep going. "thumbsup"
