Default confused about big bores

i have had 2 sets of big bores for some time now, come in the pack of 8, but i am thinking now that i got the bigger ones for some reason as they are 4 inches stock but if you do a cap mod, or get new caps it makes these shocks too long, i even limited it back to 4 inches but they are making the rig to tall, i think there is a shorter version but i cant seem to figure out what the 2 different ones are, can someone please link me to the 2 kinds and the shorter ones more specifically

Shorter Big Bore: http://www.rcplanet.com/Traxxas_Big_..._p/tra2660.htm

Sorry for the non-Axial pics, this shows the XL shock from the 8-pack installled on the rig, with the TRA2660 next to it:

It's just a link for description purposes, you'll have to look around for a better price.

i did, they are more for 4 than the 8 pack costs, looks like about the best price, hate to have to buy another set but oh well, i need to get some of your pins too at some point
might have to just make a taller shock mount for these i already have, i just dont have enough options for mounting these on this dmg chassis and the shorter ones would solve all that but $ is tight and i just spent 4 hours modding the caps, doing the mrc springs etc...

Check out my FB build. I have the long (xxl) trx shocks too. I did the rod end mod and just limited the inside of the shock with some spacers. You can shorten them to what ever you like that way. My fronts are limited the rears arn't.

Those are the xl ones 2660 and should be factory 3.5" and 4" with cap mod.
