| Matoutou project
Hello, Here the crawler of my daughter, who was the crawler of my son before I give to my son my crawler… Hum... In short… Here the Matoutou project. Matoutou is a spider in French Guiana; At the beginning it was a basic crawler… Then my frame of the WK being succeeded enough, I decided to adapt it to this crawler, with some modifications. Very basic After modif... RC4WD trany is modified to move the engine to front. The moteur and trany are to incline forwards for lowering the center of gravity. The servo is placed beside Dig and allows very a good performance. Back Front, with BTA et the support for Lipo (3S). Balance is really good, for a height under frame of 7.5cm / 3 inch to low and 8.5cm / 3 inch 2/5 with highest. The whole for a weight of 2.2kg / 4.85lbs without ballast (with 2s Lipo and Rooster Crawler ESC). I added 200g / 7oz of ballast to front, for a distribution of the weight of 1.4kg / 3.1lbs in front and 1kg / 2.2lbs in rear. to come :

Hello, Some update !! Some mod >> a new skid And the same system of weight as on my Berg. I have 100g weight with each wheel. A true servo, Tekin Fx-R and 3s lipo (not in pic) and to finish small the video of the weekend http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F4ZBA...layer_embedded I am agreeably surprised by the good behavior of the crawler. It is finally rather effective Thanks |

Hello, Some new, the body being definitively… dead, I transform the frame into BodyLess. In a first time, I have remakes the low part of the frame. And after much some tests, the high part The weight with increased by less 40g compared to the body in Lexan, it is not too badly Now the weigh is 5.2lbs RTR. For panel... is this... It is my dog which will be happy, it will not have more the ridiculous air!! thanks. Last edited by TotoRax; 03-24-2011 at 08:30 PM. |

I was going to say isn't it funny how the uglier the crawler gets it seems the better it crawls, but damn your new chassis with the top is beautiful. You should manufacture that with link as a set, bien fait. |
