Default gatekeeper chassis revamp

This chassis is pretty amazing as it is but doesn't have some of the features as a newcustom chassis. So my question is, how hard would it be to revamp the gatekeeper to in essence compete with today's chassis ' like for instance the sucker punch or prodigy?

Sometimes KISS is the name of the game. Sometimes all you need is just a few mounting points since they were all very well laid out. That said each to their own really.

After seeing a lot of chassis and designing my own (it isn't as easy as it seems ) the way I see it is like this:
Gatekeper and the other basic chassis are great for people who want to setup. Run and be happy.

Suckerpunch and the other "fancy" chassis are great for people who want to fine tune and tweak and tweak and tweak some more to get their rig 100% dialed to their individual likings.

I mean if you really think your onto something then go grab some sheet aluminum and go designing your own

Drive time, drive time, drive time..
That's how the gatekeeper "competes with today's chassis's". Or Any chassis for that matter.

I like my gatekeeper but would like the tunability of newer ones, the moa style links, different skids for these low cg transmission s. There are a lot of great chassis' on here just not sure if its what I want. When designing a chassis what are good things to take into consideration? So maybe ill keep the gatekeeper and start drawing something up

They are all great chassis. The question is, what "features" are you looking for? More link mount holes? More body mounting options? What is MOA style links, (bent Ti)?

Just trying to get to the root of what you are looking for so hopefully I can give you some info that's worth a darn.

The super bent ones, I call them moa style cause thats what I saw them on first. honestly I just want something with a really high belly and low cg. I just want to find a good middle ground, I also think it would be fun to try and design my own. And honestly not quite sure exactly what I want, thats why I wonder what things you guys consider when designing one.. not trying to be difficult soory.

I think you have to figure out what length shock to use. Figure how much variance of articulation to suite different drivers. Then make sure that the links and rod ends don't bind through the full motion of movement.

That's about the best I can come up with.

Just trying to be helpful here. My pro links have way more of a " severe " bend in them then my sporty. I've contended in sportsman more so than pro this season ( not that I've contended at all compared to the other contributors here!). So it really is a feel/out come thing more than a specific look or age. You could hand a stock ax10 to Gatekeeper and he'd kick my butt based on drive time and experience. Those 2 things can't be bought, I've tried .
