Arrow 2.2 Basher Revamp

Not sure if this is considered an ax10 but here goes anyway! Picked up this rig about 5-6 years ago and been beating on it off and on since then. Its been by far the funnest rc I have delt with so its time to perform a face lift. Got parts on the way to start but for now, here is how it sits!

If Grandpa Munster had a 4x4, it would look just like this!

Hahaha......

Are you keeping it a basher? Scale? Competition?

Definitely keeping it a basher! Front and rear axles will be replaced along with a few extra goodies for those, changing to a Titan 21 turn 550 e maxx motor, hoping for a bit more wheel speed and the larger motor should be torquier. Switching the front to a four link with all new links. Keeping the tires but going with a more offset wheel. Debating on a set of Rustler front 2.2's or rpm black eight shooter. Also going with a traxxas 2075 servo. I hear people dog on the traxxas servo but I have never had trouble out of that 2055. Might be because of the wimpy torque lol!

Got a jump on tear down and the motor swap while waiting for parts. I did end up picking up a Dingo kit to use the axles and a few other parts for other trucks. Gave $180 shipped bnib, not bad since I would have had close to $100 for new axles and steering link.
The rear axle isn't bad, just wear in the outer bearings, so its going in the spare bin. The new titan 550 motor does have a little more size and weight over the 27t 540 axial motor. Also grabbed a shot of the esc Im using. Was threw in there after burning up the previous unit. Not bad of a spare esc since its been in there 4 years and not a lick of trouble!

thanks, I been kinda lazy lately but the new wheels did come in along with the grey wide traxxas hexes so I went on and put those on.

I do have the extra pieces to lengthen the front drive shaft, along with a few over things to finish it up.

Very interesting rig. Looks like you could easily turn it into a comp truck if you ever want to. Plans on repainting?

Thank you. As of right now, no plans to repaint. As for a comp rig, there are no competitions around here so it will probly remain a basher.

Finally an update! Drove it around the garage then took it on a shake down run. Considering the tire didn't come off until I got back to the garage, I think it done alright.
