| Just built mine, very impressed
Well i started building it at 10 last night, didnt stop till about 1:30, then just finished it this morning. After puting all 800 screws into the beadlocks, my fingers hurt like a mother. I dont have any pics yet, im waiting for the paint to dry on my body then gonna go crawl and get pics. This kit is the bomb, such high quality, far better than any other 2.2 out there in my opinion. If you are thinkin about getting one, dont wait. Get one now, well worth the money. From building it, you wont really need to buy too many after market products for it too vs. the other 2.2's out there. Here's what i have- Ax-10 Scorpion 55T hand wound integy lathe Novak Rooster 12t spectrum dx2 extreme 2070 mAh lipo stick on wheel weights mg995 servo Im going to leave it stock for a few weeks and see how capable it really is out of the box. Dang good Rcrawler for under $500. Heres the only pic i have during the build- MORE TONIGHT Last edited by dirk379; 08-18-2007 at 01:37 PM. |

I do have one question. It looks like you have mounted your transmission backwards. Think there would be an advantage to running the motor reversed?

Tranny is backwards, didnt even realize it, normally the pedes mount the other way, so i just put it in that way, no adv or disadv. might slighlty move the motor more to the front the other way though. I oupted out the stock 5" or however long shocks to some big bore aluminum t-maxx. Lowered the GC right to where i wanted it Just running the stock tires, for me in my terrain, they work awesome and better than my moabs IMO. My foam set up, i just like to cut it on an agle like this / but not that extreme. Then you put the taller side on the out side of the wheel so it gives you more side wall support for side hilling. Wheel weights- i have 6oz in each front wheel and 5oz in each rear. Remember the guys who say 3.5 oz are running the aluminum beadlocks that weigh more. This is my 3rd set up axial beadlocks and it works best for me. My stock body is being painted right now, so i just through on a extended cab silvy that i had Last edited by dirk379; 08-19-2007 at 07:33 PM. |

This sucker will sit on the shelf while im building my new tuber for it Just thought id paint it for fun... And well, it wasn't fun at all. heres the battery mount close up. Just heavy duty velcro Very impressed with how well it does too for being pretty much box stuck other than wheel weights and tmaxx alum shocks |
