| My Reign J2-TT / Axial AX-10 Build
Well I finally got a chance to build up a J2-TT Chassis with some AX-10 Scorpion axles and trany. (Yeah all you guys that sent me PMs about a AX-10 build up here it is. ) I decided to build up a belly dragger. (well I had some 3.5" shocks laying around so... what the he11). Here is a parts list: - Reign Products J2-TT Chassis - Axial AX-10 Scorpion (I used the axles, trany, top link, steel yokes, drivelines, & a few other goodies, nuts & bolts) - (4 ea) Traxxas 3.5" shocks - (2 ea) Traxxas Revo pushrod part #5318 or #5318X (Front links) http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXHFV8&P=Z - (2 ea) Traxxas Revo pushrod part #5319 or 5319X (Rear links) http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXHFW0&P=Z - (4 ea) Associated RC10 T4 Turnbucles part #7101 (top links) http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXFDU8&P=Z - (4 ea) Traxxas Rod Ends w/Connectors part # 2742 http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXJG69&P=Z You may have noticed the shorter front links. I wasn't intending to do a 60/40 set-up it just so happens these are the links I need to use to still be under the legal wheel base limit of 12.5" It is at 12 3/8" with this set-up. Here are some picks: |

Thanks Guys I'll just probably throw the shocks on tonight then figure out what I have laying around for electronics and maybe just run the AX-10 kit wheels & tires for now. Oh and probably just my old bug body. Then when I get it all mocked up I'll start tweaking. Quote:
No it isn't a droopy, per say. More of a sag/droop... Like my tuber is set/up, low articulation, and a low belly. It will droop but it will also compress. I'll be tweaking on it to see what does best in the long run.

All right, all right... I mounted up the shocks last night and this morning I tossed some dirty wheels & a bashed old body on and shot a few pics. I'm still working on the shocks/springs/oil set-up & will probably use different rims/tires because the ericksons are for the comp tuber. |

will this perform better than a regular ax-10? looks awsome, but also looks very similar to the stock form. did you just want it custom built?

Looks great Pinchflat. What is the belly clearance? And also, it looks like the top of the chassis is just below the tires, is this true? Shane |

| it is the Hotbodies bug (HPI E-Savage) Quote:
I built this J2-TT/AX-10 because I have had ALOT of PMs asking for a build up with the Reign J2-TT chassis with AX-10 Axles & trany. Also to give people ideas to what can be done with these new axles & trany. Belly clearance as 2 3/8" and yes the top of the chassis is below the tires, here is a better pic:
