|  NONSTOPBOOST Chaotic Crawlers El Nino Build!!
So after running the stock chassis for quite some time I decided it was time to step up my game. I gave in and finally decided to build a new El Nino chassis based rig! This one is actually made of .071 grade 5 titanium! so actually it's a Ti NiNo! specs are: axial axles axial trans w/ vf dig(soon to come) hitech 645 45t Epic motor jr ds8711 BEC Tekin FXR Custom Cut bent lower liinks in rear Custom Cut front lower links. jato 61mm turnbuckles for uppers with revo ends tcs 4 link plates mayhem wheels(new) losi rock claws but new HB rovers awaiting wheels.. I took the Chaotic Crawlers El Nino and modified the skid just a bit. I did a lil Jenny Craig on it down to 60mm so i could use Axial Chassis rods. Then i 1/8 rounded the entire bottom to prevent any hang up.. Few Starter pics so far. Will Update as it advances....    Last edited by nonstopboost; 11-24-2008 at 11:27 PM. |

Since i just love the look i decided with the Mayhem 7's.....All Aluminum... And i picked up a set of the new HB Rovers for tires Normally i stuff them with the hybrid mems but for the winter i am running the allweather hybrids from rock hammer....So far so good... GOTTA love the camera phone crap quality...haha   |

Ok I got it into a roller.... I wanted to keep the bent rear links so I ended up using my old links and just cut them down, drilled, and retapped em... The suspension height took some tinkering to get it to sit right but i have it now right where i want it. Other than i want to put some internal springs in the front and change out the rear springs with some red's to gain more flex in the rear. Because this chassis is so much more narrow than the stock one i think i am gonna struggle with electronics some....Especially my dig servo since im throwin in a full size... Any way on with some pics...     Got my belly right where i like it...even on 2"  And of course cant forget the miller flex shot....That can is max flex on this beast... Lookin good. I like this chassis. 2" seems low, but when you get the rovers on, it will be more like 2.25 to almost 2.5  . Looking forward to some complete pics.

|  this rig is sick!all of nonstopboosts rigs are sick though! always ingenuitive and cool new ideas! 2" is exactly where you want it sitting for our terrain! mine was at 2 1/8 but I dropped her down a hair tonight like this rig! I had the chance to see this rig side by side with mine and it is a BAMF! I think people will be amazed with how capable this chassis is once it hits the market in a week or so! |

Ya I took it out for the first test and it is amazing beast. I was quite pleasantly surprised. Like chaotic mentioned i did some lines that i have tried for days. It was sweet. I just took it out as-is tho. So now i am going to finish it up by putting on the dig and a few other special items. But i am looking forward to the possibilities this thing has. There is so much sidehill that 2" is perfect. I ran a bit taller before and it is kind of a joke. It tips way too much. I will post pics as i get it done and am looking forward to more great products from Chaotic Crawlers. Once these chassis are available i would definitely recommend them to anyone. Like night and day..

looks really good. I wish we could ru n low like that arround here. Heck I run 2.5" belly and I still get hung up all the time. I am about to go through a total rebuild and its getting rased to 2.75":-(

So While i am awaiting my new black DNA dig, i borrowed one temporarily so i could not only run it but mock up my custom servo mount. I really wanted to run a full size servo so i could gain a little more power. I currently have a Hitec 645 in there and it seems to work good. I will have to test it out on the rock to get the official test though. Pics of the bracket and installed....      |

That is a tight squeeze with that dig servo. What does the chassis weigh since it is Titanium? Looks good!
