| Behind the axle steering setup
Did anyone notice on the TCS website, on the axle battery mounting plate images, it looks like a "behind the axle" steering setup is in the works. You can see a clear plastic "tie rod" behind the axle. That would be sweet! http://www.tcscrawlers.com/product.p...cat=254&page=1 Last image on this page. TCS, I hope I didn't just blow any secrets.........if you don't want it seen, certainly don't post it here! There are a lot of guys with an eye for detail! I've been thinking of a way to build this anyway. Less out front to hang up on rocks. |

Can't be, with stock knuckles you hit the 4 link/shock mount on the axle unless you modify the hubs which you can clearly see TCS hasn't in the pics. No steering isn't worth it...I tried it already, though another user modded the length of his hub arms to get it to work.

Well, it looks as though the tie rod is spaced down from the knuckle arm giving it clearance from those mounts and the pinion. I don't see a drag link setup though.

I mean its possible, I think Kave did it but you have to mod the length of those knuckles so they miss. It can be done...maybe TCS can do it in mass production.

I took a look and it definitely seems they are using a BTA setup. There is a link behind the axle and the knuckles are flipped. Not sure how they pulled it off but it looks like they did....
