Default Shocks?

What after market shocks is everyone running? I did a search and all the threads were old. I want to know what the hot shock is currently.

Taxxas Big Bores
Duratrax Evaders
Traxxas Stampede Rears
Maxx Shocks

A few others are being used as well. Id have to say the Big Bores are the most popular...

I have a friend that is using the remote res big bores. He likes them, but I have just reg big bores and work just as well. Sometimes he has issues with them hitting.

I run Stampede fronts with rod end modded caps with orange losi springs on my J2/axial rig. Darn near perfect for ride height and flex.

I picked up some 110mm GPM threaded shocks off of ebay. I swapped out the springs shipped with them for some Losi soft springs.

Do a search on ebay for "Billet shocks 110mm" you come up with a list of them.

I'm not sure remote resiviors are worth the time and effort in a small scale. I understand using them in much larger shocks, but not a tiny RC toy shock.

Look in the scale threads. If you are just looking to get them for looks, some of the gys have come up with pretty cool ways to make resiviors for any shock.

i thought that resiviors where for lots of movement anyways not for slow crawling trucks they help keep the shock oil temp the same so that the stiffness stays consistent there is no need for them exept for looks

My son won some 110 mm JP Customs in a give a way last season. He's running those on his AX-10 with the red springs. He seems to think they work rather well

I'm running factory Twin Force shocks on the rear and 1:8 buggy rears up front on my AX-10 based Hustler. I need to adjust the oil a bit, they are a little stiff yet. Both shocks having ball ends at each end,I feel is a plus.
