Talking Team Green

Ok. Been running a pritty standard rig for a while, and although it is fairly competent for an 'off the shelfer', thought it was about time for some mods.
First off was to replace the weak 3-link connectors to a 4-link set-up using TCS Boomerang and servo upper link mounts.

Then to stop them dragging, moved the lower links inside the chassis ala ckrc stage 2 and made some spacers for the lower shock mounts out of 6mm OD aluminium tube. While i was at it, i replaced all the crappy mild steel nuts and bolts with stainless.

I originally had the shock dampers inside the shocks giving just over 3" of chassis clearence, but decided to lower the CG even more and put 3/4" of fuel tube inside. (Nice one Bender ) Clearence now down to 2 3/4". Standard springs on the rear with 30wt oil and softer 1/10 buggy springs with 15wt on the front. Added 75gm in the front wheels and 30gm in the rears. Big improvement!

Action shots...before mods!

Now just waiting for the Axial bent lower links and Losi Claws from TCS.

thanks... skid plate is still in progress as good all 3M double tape doing the job until I do some mods on tranny and motor mounts.

tray did come out good just make clean look. I have few more cable mods to make where all the disconnection will be so easy. with this tray, all electronics will come nice and easy.. leaving just server cable to the chassis.

Did you notice a difference in the torque twist by going to the 4-link?

Has reduced it some, but not completely eliminated it. Working on the shocks made a big difference. Next i'm going to lengthen the links to where the body posts were.

Try putting the left rear upper link on top of the Boomerang mount.

Thanks EeePee. Tried that originally, then played with the shock settings some more. Will test that again.
