| super stoked!
Hey guys, I just bought myself a Ridgecrest, this thing rocks!!! I've been reading about them on here for about a month now, I couldn't wait any longer. This is so much different than the Summit and the super crawler I own. I'm playing on snow and this thing is a blast! I've already started replacing things. I've replaced the dog bones with universals, the knuckles with aluminum ones and I've lowered the ride height. Just amazing what can be done with these things!

so I have a question: What size lipo are people running? I've been using one from my summit (2S 30C 8200) but I'm thinking that is overkill, what do you all think?

3s 850mah 25-40c for me. I ran a 2s 5000mah when it was a brushed basher and a 3s 5400mah when it had the big brushless system on it. Now, I use the small batteries for it as a crawler for the weight savings.

Well the question is what runtime are you getting. I think running 30 minutes a battery it amazing, but I used to run 450mah on a MOA and get 15 to 20 min more then enough for comps. I had like 15 though |

I'm using 2s 5000mah Hard case Gens ace and getting well over an hour out of them which I think is plenty. I wouldn't want to use a bigger battery. Thinking about getting a slightly smaller 2s to run in it. I just had these from when I got my slash 4X4 which I bought before the Ridgecrest. They fit good, but I would like to see what it does w/ a little less weight.

I know drivers style, be it trigger happy( basher ) or technical ( crawling slow and picking lines ) will give you more or less battery life. Just got to ask yourself, what you plan on doing with the truck down the line. |

I got almost an hour of use on what was left in it for a charge( it wasn't freshly charged). I don't do comps ,just fun with friends and around the house. I will be bashing it and crawling with it. On a side note: this scale is a ton of fun! My summit is fun also but the obstacles are more of a challenge with the smaller size. Why did I wait so long to get in this size? |

1:10 scale is a blast. It has been my go to scale for crawling. My buddy's and I all got micros a while back and that was a blast as well. Depends on where you use it. I like 1:10 and 1:18 for outdoors. Where as 1:24 is fun on your couch. I made a Legos course in my livingroom one winter and that was the most fun my buds and I had in a long time, 1:10 just seems to feel right scale wise. Keep havin fun with it, tweaking it and running it. Once you unlock the true potential of the truck you will have unlimited amounts of fun. |

Several ways to lower ride height. 1. flip shock mounts 2. change shock location 3. change shock springs 4. different chassis 5. different shocks 6. droop set up for shocks Some and/ or all of this will affect your ride height. | |
