Default What tire Sizes?

Hello All,

I'm curious about what everyone is running for tire sizes? 1.9 or 2.2? And Why? For Crawling are you strictly going with 1.9?

I’ve been running 1.9. But lately I’ve found myself grabbing other cars before the goat. Not really sure why, it fun and awesome especially with the VP 3gear and dig. But , other day I threw some 2.2 rock beasts on. It was fun, just a totally different experience. Kinda funny looking and cool as heck at the same time. Just totall different car than our others.

1.9 tires for sure. Tires provide extra ground clearance, but the Capra already has plenty of that with the portal axles. The portals also raise the center of gravity so you want to use smaller tires IMO. I'm a big fan of the 1.9 Rock Beast XL tires on my Capra. Good size for that rig.

2.2"s for me, currently some worked over Hyrax's, but I'm considering something different that's still in the 5.25-5.75" range. The whole reason I bought the car was to bridge the gap between a well built Wraith and a Bully2 based 2.2p and it hasn't disappointed. 9.3oz worth of knuckle weights has made the COG issue... a non-issue.

The 2.2 look good, I'll have to try them sometime.

1.9’s - 2.2’s just didn’t look right on the Capra to me.
