They've been out since May, so not exactly new. When I was looking for axles for my Wraith I added up the cost of the housings with all the VP aluminum trusses, link mounts, and diff covers and it was pretty much the same price as the Curries, so Curries are what I did. Just my $0.02. |

| Re: anyone plan on using VP's NEW V2 aluminum axle? They were released in May http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/vanqu...i-axle-v2.html It's an alloy AR60 with bigger pinion bearing, no through holes for the link mounts & new spool bearing carriers, it's a really nice looking piece. Bet sales are limited though while people wait for the Wraith width F9 or just buy the RockJock. |

I seen these back in the middle of summer when i was looking to upgrade. I to got the currie rok jok instead of the V2. I do however wish they would have updated the currie with the larger pinion bearings for longevity.

I've installed the V2 complete axles with all the goodies both front/rear on my Bomber. Went together great with no issues at all. They feel solid with no slop. Can't speak to endurance as I've only putted around the house so far, but I can't imagine anything going wrong with these things.

| Re: anyone plan on using VP's NEW V2 aluminum axle? I would get the Currie axles, if the pinion bearing was larger, like the V2

Maybe this is more of a general question but relevant here too, how do you guys feel about how the aluminum axles don't glide over rocks as smoothly and get all torn up and softened by scraping over the rocks over time? I have the VP rear axle for my yeti xl and it just get so scraped up and nasty. I wish they had a nylon coating on the bottom of them or something. I love the structural integrity just hate the way they wear.
