Default Delbert bought a bomber!

I just got shipping conformation for my RR-10. I can't wait to rebuild to run it! I know it's good out of the box but this is my first " scale" rig. I have had too many comp crawlers to count and it is cool to see how far things have come since I took a break from crawling 4 years ago. I plan on the usual hd gears, knucks, c's ect...

My want list to be filled so far are
UCFAB trailing arms
UCFAB rear sway bar
DLUX fab front swaybar kit
DLUX fab upper and lower fronts
DLUX fab trusses
VP c's and knucks
VP lockouts
Pro modeler servo( it didn't fit in my sporty, I may sell it and buy a 7954)
DLUX fab steering and drag link

I think that's enough of a start but I am still uncertain about this brushless thing. It is all new to me. I know brushed motors well enough but I do not know anything about brushless. Thinking about the Holmes hobbie puller pro 3300 with ?? I'm a little stuck here. I want nice stuff and waterproof is a plus. Any ideas would be great!

Holmes BLE can be ordered waterproof and is one of the best ESCs available. If you buy the motor and ESC together you can get a bundle discount.

I just read your thread. Great looking build and I learned a lot about these rigs. I have always loved JRH's stuff. I'm mainly building a u4 basher. I see you like your 2100kv. I was looking at the 3300kv for more wheel speed but I would like a degree of low speed control. I am going to do all the axle and link upgrades first and then buy the right combo the first time hopefully

Thank you! For U4 I'd go with his 3500kv Puller Pro. My bomber may reach the limit of its speed 3% of the time I'm using it but that's what I'm building for, a crawler period. If I were building a basher or U4 racer the 3500 would definitely be my choice and you will still have incredible low speed control. The 3300 is a stubby and the only reason to go smaller should be if you can't fit the standard. You're only talking $10. These bombers have a ton of room to fit even his XL Puller Pro.

Thanks for your help! I don't speak brushless very well. I appreciate the advice. I really like and trust Holmes hobbies and JRH in general. I support home every chance I get!

My pleasure and I'm still learning to speak brushless myself. I had to ask for help getting my new 2200 figured out but she's dialed now and running sweet. I'm with you, something just feels right about buying superior products from a guy who posts up a picture of his new baby girl and then takes time out to help me and others with all of our questions and problems. I'm happy to send my money his way. That reminds me, I need to buy another Holmes product.

I got all the round one parts on order from DLUX and RPP.
Beeftubes( until I can afford curries)
Axial alloy motor mount
HD gears 38/13, 48/14
Grip fab spools ( I use these in all my shafties)
Axial universals
Vanquish stage 1 kit
Vanquish no slop bushings
DLUX full link kit, rear u4 truss in G10 and rear swaybar kit.
Axial hexes

Need a front truss to finish out this round. Round 2 will be motor/esc upgrade. Waiting on CarterFabs mamba monster test to pull the trigger but a Holmes Hobbies puller pro 3500kv

Then on to the bling phase3. I don't want a shelf queen. Just a super tough do all KOH strong rig.

If you want a badass brushless setup, get the mmx and 540xl.

I do like overkill but it think that's might be just right. How's the low end control with the MMX/540Xl combo?

How can you possibly promise he won't be disappointed, while saying you don't have that combo?

The Holmes site says the XL gives up low end resolution for overall power. If low end smoothness is paramount, I would stick to the 540.

But I don't have that combo either, so take it for what it is. MMP and trailmaster 3300 is excellent in my Bomber, 4 pole torque would be nice.

I just know no one would be disappointed with that setup.

If you want crazy low end resolution for just crawling then you should probably just stick with brushed.

thanks for the input. im going with the pro3500 combo, I think it will be more then what I need, rather have too much then not enough, can always slow down, cant always speed up...

Wow, you give horrible advice and unsubstantiated opinion. You just know huh? There are brushless motors available that can give you better low speed resolution than some brushed motors. I know because I have ran several of both. You remind me of a stoner surfer trying to work at a computer store. Bruh, you want a pentium XL, it's so badass p, you don't even know!
