Default 2nd day of use, having issue

After a great first day of running, we took it out today for the 2nd time (weather kept us from enjoying it for a week). Bomber runs for about 3 seconds, then suddenly brakes. Release the controller throttle and re-engage, the Bomber will run again for 3 sec, then brake. The issue occurs in fwd and rev. Swapped out controller batteries with new, still an issue. Put the Onyx NiMH batt back on the charger, then put it back in Bomber, same issue.

Baffled. Seems like the controller is transmitting a brake command every 3 seconds.

Any ideas?

Going out on a limb but are those tabs that adjust for Lipo vs NiMH
correct and the braking sounds like when you let off throttle it has full drag brake. I think that can be adjusted by those tab things. Sorry don't have that type of ESC to give better terminology or advice.

That's the problem: I am not letting off the throttle. The drag brake engages at exactly the same point every time. Even if I'm holding the Bomber and have the throttle pulled, the brake engages at the 3 second point.

Haven't adjusted any tabs. Nothing changed since the first day we operated it.

The bomber comes preset on the LIPO setting. Try moving the battery type plugs from LIPO to the NIMH setting. Here is the diagram for the plugs to move.

Thanks all...that was the problem. I moved the jumper to the NICELL slot and ran the accelerator for more a good 20s and it never braked. Odd that on the first day, it worked fine.

Clearly I need to buy some tools. Using a traditional set of Metric hex wrenches is painfully slow. Yes, I'm a newb. This is first real RC vehicle.

everybody starts somewhere.

The difference between people that learn and those that dont is the desire to help yourself and the patience to figure things out.
