What's Powering your Bomber I just picked up a Bomber and I want to go brushless with the 2 speed. I want to be able to run my bomber in some local U4RC races. I'm looking for some ideas Thanks TJ Sent from my LG-H810 using Tapatalk |
Re: What's Powering your Bomber If you are going 2 speed, run a faster motor, like a 3300-3500, that way you can get top speeds, and crawlability. You can always tune it with gearing as well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Re: What's Powering your Bomber Holmes Hobbies Puller Pro 3500kv, HH BLE Pro esc, Axial light weight slipper set, stock spur with an 11 tooth Pinion. |
Re: What's Powering your Bomber HH Puller Pro 3300 stubby, HH BLE Pro ESC...64/13. Stock axle gears. Runs exactly how I want. Great drawing power and launch power. I run 2S...If I want to go faster, I'll drop in the 3S. |
Re: What's Powering your Bomber MMP with HH puller pro 540 3500kv. |
Re: What's Powering your Bomber HH Puller Pro XL 2200, MMX, 4s. Stock gearing for now. More top end than the chasis can be stable at and no immediate need for the two speed. Yea its more motor than. Needed but runtimes and temps are great, more time driving. Sent from my SM-G900P using Tapatalk |
Re: What's Powering your Bomber MMP Tekin Pro4 3300 14t pinion. Would like to step up pinion size and do a 2 speed for more go-fast:twisted: |
Re: What's Powering your Bomber castle mamba monster 2200 with the 2 speed on 6s and I love it.... |

Re: What's Powering your Bomber +1 I'd love to see that video. |
Re: What's Powering your Bomber I put my HH 540 revolver, and a RX8 G2 in my bomber for now until I can make up my mind on a different power plant. I'm using a 2s shorty, but I am looking for a 3s, and 4s lipo. |
Re: What's Powering your Bomber Castle MMP + Tekin Roc 412 2300kv on 3s with 16/64 gearing, perfect speed for this chassis. |
Re: What's Powering your Bomber MMP, ROC412 3100kv, SCX10-based transmission, 14/56 gearing, 3S |
Re: What's Powering your Bomber I have tried a couple combos... MMP/HH trailmaster sport 3100kv(2pole) MMP/pro4 3300kv RX-8(gen2)/pro4 4000kv is current setup with no complaints overall just want to try the HH 2200 stubby with a mmx! |

Re: What's Powering your Bomber MMP, Traililmaster Pro 3300 geared 18/64 on 3s ;-) Needs more motor... 4 pole 550. |

Re: What's Powering your Bomber Bill, where in nor cal you located? We should get some video of your bomber and my yeti xl haha. I just can't believe that chassis could handle that kind of power, because in the xl its fast, my xl on 6s does 51 mph. |

Re: What's Powering your Bomber Running a Tekin Pro4HD 3000kv and the Tekin RX8 Gen2 with stock gearing(12/64) on 2S 5000mah Lipos. Smooth as butter. |
Re: What's Powering your Bomber There is some great info here, lets keep it going!!!! |
Re: What's Powering your Bomber I just pulled the trigger on a HH trailmaster pro BL 3300 motor/esc combo. I cannot wait. I'm wondering if I'll need to adjust the gearing or not. |

Re: What's Powering your Bomber I am running a Castle Mamba Max Pro with a Holmes Hobbies Puller Pro 2200kv standard size motor. I'm still using the stock gearing. When crawling, it's very smooth and not much different than the Bomber's stock drivetrain. On 3s power, it has more than enough wheel speed. It jumps and is fun to bash around. 4s power is just silly fun. If you want more, get a short course truck. |
Re: What's Powering your Bomber I was contemplating on dropping the pinion down to a 11t from a 12t to help with motor temps when running on 3s with my 35t brushed motor. Would that size pinion really make that much of a difference? |

Re: What's Powering your Bomber MMP and a Tekin ROC 412 3100kv..runs real nice! |
Re: What's Powering your Bomber The crawler has an MMP and a Holmes 2200kv puller pro standard on 3s and stock gearing. The bouncer has a Mamba Monster X with a Holmes 3500kv 540XL on 3s mounted to a SS Wraith trans with 56/12 gearing |
Re: What's Powering your Bomber My Bomber is doing the Fred Flintstone.... Haven't decided on a esc and motor for mine yet! LOL!! |

Re: What's Powering your Bomber The guys looking to race have been giving great feedback with the Puller Pro 540 3500 and 4500kv on 3s. The 3500 is more suitable for everyday trail running but easily holds up in a race. The 4500 is bashing and racing, for those folks that want speeeeeed. The mamba monster X seems to be getting popular for u4 racing as well. Big power, switch on the fly drag brake. |
Re: What's Powering your Bomber I just ordered a puller pro 3500 and a trail master BLE pro, off of you website on Saturday. I'll admit that after I read the recommendation for the 3500, then seen you offer it in standard, and XL, I got a lil confused (...I wasn't sure which one). You know how that ended. I tried to E-mail Monday morning to see if I could add the mamba X to my order, but it had already shipped:cry: I guess I wasn't sure if I got enough ESC the first time I placed the order. |
Re: What's Powering your Bomber If your not planning to go past 20mph or hill climb 30 minutes straight you're probably fine, my stock geared wraith has never had issue. Just watch the heat till you know how your driving and terrain loads the system. |
Re: What's Powering your Bomber I'm starting to think that I should swap the MMP for the MMX Sent from my LG-H810 using Tapatalk |
