Re: What did you do to your Bomber today? - Moved the spare tire forward. - Put on aluminum Poison Spyder differential covers front and rear. - Replaced the standard 4mm flanged NyLock axle nuts with the G-Made 1.9 hubs. http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...191d13fa5e.jpg http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...756ff9331d.jpg http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...a3b21542e5.jpg http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...37ac4e3d10.jpg Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

Re: What did you do to your Bomber today? Dlux front truss. Hoping to keep the front end in one piece :flipoff: All thread is temporary, tracking down some 5/32" rod that isn't music wire. http://s14.postimg.org/yu5713uap/IMG...207_113007.jpg |

Re: What did you do to your Bomber today? Got a chance to install the new trailing arms from UCfab/Dlux very nice product and put on some decals. http://i297.photobucket.com/albums/m...psrtifrujj.jpg |
Re: What did you do to your Bomber today? 2 Attachment(s) Drove it, installed an Axial servo horn today after I took these. Still waiting on the new graphics, can't wait! |
Re: What did you do to your Bomber today? Went to test the Robinson Racing steel spur and slipper on the road outside my house, flipped it and the servo died, seems like a bit of a design fault on the Xpert WR-7701 servos where the middle gear that transfers power from the motor to the spline is 2 separate parts push fitted together. Just a small roll and the parts separated, not good at all. Let's see what their customer service has to say. Ordered a Hitec HS-7950TH for now, lets see how that holds up, do you recommend waterproofing it? some people seem to have run them in water with no problems at all due to them having factory o-ring seals. |
Re: What did you do to your Bomber today? A lot of servos use the 2 piece gears, a lot of "metal gear" servos only have 1 or 2 metal gears. I have had good luck with Savox servos. Counter sunk the end screws on my Dlux front truss, gain a little bit of steering back. I guess that's all I get, the rod ends are hitting the actual truss now. |
Re: What did you do to your Bomber today? Ordered a new set of CI foams for the rig. Working on painting my panels now. |

Re: What did you do to your Bomber today? Playing around with making some panels. First with vinyl and again with some scale diamond plate aluminum... http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...a4ef291c50.jpghttp://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...610dfd603a.jpghttp://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...c08e810c98.jpg First try with both. Made templates using a simple paper folder then transferred the outlines and holes to the Vinyl/Aluminum and cut them using kitchen shears, and made the holes using a Duratrax reamer. Took <10 min to make a set using the templates. |
Re: What did you do to your Bomber today? Finally pulled the roof light bar off. Also yanked the transmission/t-case out so I could load em up with marine grease. I need to make a better mount for the ESC. Gets pretty annoying having to remove the double stick tape everytime I need to get into the RX box. |
Re: What did you do to your Bomber today? Testing the waters, literally... Going to be hydrodipping these after I get a nice base coat cured on all the panels. Time consuming. |

Re: What did you do to your Bomber today? I swapped back to the factory brushed power from the Yeti Vanguad brushless set. I added Vanquish Yeti upper rear links and the Axial Bomber rear sway bar. Speed with the UD gears is disappointing, but it does crawl far slower with no clogging. I broke a gear tooth in the expensive 450 oz JR servo that a buddy had given me, not sure if I can order a new gear or will need to replace the servo. FYI, the Axial rear sway bar is identical to the Yeti set, the bar measures the same .105" diameter. The Bomber kit just uses two short link ends connected by a screw to make the links short enough so the bar doesn't hit the chassis when the suspension is stuffed. I still think the bar is too stiff, I may take the sander to the center section to make the bar softer. |
