Front inner fenders? I thought I remember seeing someone make or sell some front inner fenders for their Bomber. Has anyone tried this or have some pics of it? I've moved my receiver and light controller up front, possibly going to do a winch too. I'd like to hide my guts... Also, I've seen a LS1 engine and headers, etc from a 3D printing site for the Bomber. But I can't seem to find those anymore. Any of you hooligans tried them? Results? Thanks!!!!!!! "thumbsup" |
Re: Front inner fenders? DOHHHHH!!!!! Carter Fab has them... and I just got an order for my Wraith from them. I suck at reading and internetting... |
Re: Front inner fenders? You mean like this? https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4408/...f41ff068_c.jpgUntitled by JASON MCKIMMEY, on Flickr It takes up the space where you would be able to put a winch and I had to shave down the lower pulley to clear the back of the servo but it looks pretty cool. It comes in white so it takes some painting. My wife did a pretty good job painting it and getting the K&N cone filter the right color and everything. |
Re: Front inner fenders? Carter Fab makes all metal stuff, correct? If so I wouldn't want all that weight up high on the front of an already nose-heavy Bomber. There is a guy on Facebook 3D printing parts for the Bomber. Not sure if he makes inner fenders. |

Also, do you have any more pics? from the sides, etc? And did you do the full exhaust system? Thanks for your time@! |

Re: Front inner fenders? Here is a link to it on shapeways. https://www.shapeways.com/product/H8...ionId=59460304 I did not do a full exhaust. Once the motor is in it's pretty hard to see actually, lol. Let me see if I have any other pics of it. |
Re: Front inner fenders? I've got the carter fab inner fenders and the wertymade plate on the bottom, hard to see in the pic because they are painted flat black but I'll get a better pic when I'm home later. It's all aluminum that's about 1/16" or so and I don't feel it's even noticeable as far as weight goes. One thing to note with the wertymade plate is that the servo will smack it at quite a bit less than full compression in the stock position but I'm sure some spacers could take care of it. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...69eeadc138.jpg |
Re: Front inner fenders? So... shortly after posting, I ordered the aluminum panels for my son's Bomber. I made my own electronics plate very much like the Wertymade. But feel free to post up pics for anyone else interested! I'm thinking about doing the LS1 engine in my B1B though... gotta see what kind of room i have. Thanks for all of the help guys. |

Re: Front inner fenders? I ordered the CarterFab inner fenders, full side panels (that go up to the rear roof-line) and the Werty-made front electronics plate (a long time ago) for my build - my only worry is that a Mamba X might overheat inside as it would effectively be boxed-in. It's not air-tight, of course - but the hood is aluminum too - although it is vented a bit. Guess I'll find out! (someday...) |
Re: Front inner fenders? 1 Attachment(s) I ordered the panels that wrap around back but don't come up as high, as well as the fenders. In have my HW ESC tucked under the interior. The Rx and OneTooManyRCs light controllers are in the front. |
Re: Front inner fenders? More pics, really hard to get a clear shot of it in the truck. https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4431/...a17af99d_c.jpgUntitled by JASON MCKIMMEY, on Flickr https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4383/...72039dea_c.jpgUntitled by JASON MCKIMMEY, on Flickr |
Re: Front inner fenders? Very nice! Do you have the exhaust pipes as well? |

Again, thank four all of the input! |
Re: Front inner fenders? Heres an outline of the fresh air intake..the interior must be present for this to be effective, no fan needed to move the air.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...ee6831ebfb.jpg Sent from my SM-N910C using Tapatalk |
Re: Front inner fenders? Very interesting design. Can you provide a link to reach you? I tried searching on Google and Facebook but there are too many Wayne Kent... Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk |
