Default LS1 for the Bomber

Scale Detail Engineering has reworked both our bolt in Bomber LS1 and Bomber Headers to use less material and offer a lower price!
LS1: http://shpws.me/LSDf
Headers: http://shpws.me/LT9g

Scale Detail Engineering is proud to share our soon to be released bolt in scale LS1 and scale headers for the Axial RR10 Bomber!

These 2 Scale Details should be available for purchase next week!

Here are a few pics of the earlier version LS1 and a pic of the installed headers.
There have been changes since these prototypes.
  • Both the LS1 and headers have been enlarged to fill the engine bay better.
  • The LS1 is hollow which will offer a place to hide some electronics.
  • The LS1 "shock tower brace" has been removed in order to show off the header pipes more when the hood is open.

Both of these Scale Details bolt right into the RR10 Bomber using the existing upper shock mounts.
Also, a rubber band (or similar) can be wrapped around the LS1 pulleys for a serpentine belt.

These are just the first of many new Scale Details we are bringing to the scale rc market.

That's an excellent way to fill that void.

Thanks guys!

We'll have a few versions available for the Bomber.
This first set is modeled after the real Randy Slawson Bomber using his overhead headers.

It is a "full" LS1 block with 4 exhaust ports.
After discussing the idea, we've decided to also offer a "truncated" version that will be more true to scale but will only have 2 or 3 header pipes... essentially, disappearing into the Bomber battery tray.

We are also working on a super slick version that will be at home in my Bug Bomber.

This will add a very nice touch to everyone's Bomber builds. Great job on the motor.

Where does it sit in relation to the RX box plate thing? My links tuck just around the nose of that bar.

I had actually removed that from my Bomber and need to reinstall it... but, it sits above it.
There should be no interference with links... another reason the LS1 isn't "true" to scale... because it would be all up in the links!

I was asked if the SDE LS1 and SDE Headers needed to be glued together.
Sorry for any confusion but these are two separate products.

The SDE Headers will be a lower price than the SDE LS1 (less material) and they will fill the full side of the Bomber chassis... like the 1:1.

I'll get photo's showing the details as soon as the new prototypes arrive.

A requested shot of the top side, hood off of the existing LS1 prototype.
(The new prototype does not have the shock tower brace so you can see more of the headers)

Well done! That looks awesome in there, I might have to run without a hood even

Assuming all goes well, they will be for sale next week.
We're waiting on the final prototype.
I'll post up links and info on future offerings.
