Default Shock length

I am thinking about lowering the center of gravity on my bomber.

Currently I am running 2x110mm king shocks up front, and 2x 110mm king shocks as well as 2x120mm (springless) king shocks in the rear.

The rear squats and dampens really nice, but the single 110mm shocks up front seem bouncy and to tall. I may try thicker oil in them to help them dampen better.

I am also thinking about 100mm shocks at all 4 corners with 2x110mm shocks (springless) in the rear. (basically shortening the entire setup by 10mm)

What length shock is everyone using these days?

I use Gmade XD 103mm shocks (eye to eye). Really nice and smooth, firm springs up front and medium rear. All 4 on stock oil.

Aren't the stock king shocks 104mm eye to eye ?

With beeftubes, wheel weights up front and the battery, it's not springy at all.

On which holes you have set your upper links front and rear? They have an impact on the cog position as well. I must admit that my RC4WD 130 mm King shocks #Z-D0064 are quiet bouncy on the rear that I thought to inrease the oils weight above 40.

Define bouncy. Going slow and it seems too stiff? Is the ride height correct or do you have shorter springs so its stiff and therefore bouncy? Going fast it its too bouncy? Too bouncy everywhere? If the shocks work, but is a pogo stick, thicker oil. Note that will make the shock firmer and slower acting. I bet your springs are wrong, too stiff, even though they are Kings. Slash length, right?

One thing I forgot, I filled the shocks with zero rebound.
When I put the truck on the ground, they compress 1/3 under the weight.
It's really smooth for trails and rocks.

I'm running a single 113mm Gmade XD dual stage rock shock on each corner. To lower my CoG, I adjusted the upper spring perch to limit the spring-assisted shock extension. In other words, if I compress the shock in my fingers, the springs will only extend the shock to ~100mm. I can further extend the shock, but the spring comes off the lower cup. Suspension "sag" is probably about 60% of shock cycle. I find this similar to a droop setup. I'm planning to add limiting straps of 90mm front and 95mm rear. It definitely has helped me with technical crawling, sidehilling, and off-camber turns.

I run 50% sag, but mine is a different bird, ride height set with the axle centerlines even with the chassis/skid bottom. That leaves me ~ 1-5/8" up or down on the front and 2" either way out back. Set up fairly soft for crawler mode, the rear requiring a valving change to go fast as well. Jboucher, instead of limit straps, have you thought about putting some plastic hose travel limiters inside the shock? Keeps the springs in place the easy way.
