Creative! I like the hinged back end! Unfortunately my Xtreme Racing rails will just be done the boring way they show them in all of their pics... Hiding under a Lexan body. BTW, BPC makes a steel chassis very similar to the Xtreme... I've been thinking of tracing the Xtreme parts and making steel copies to build up a 3rd(!) version of a Bomber-based rig - cuz I have 2 more sets of axles. Someday, that is... Thanks, I'll mount the body to the cage then have some magnets at the front to hold it down, it looks like it should work well, and give me full access to the internals.. I finish work on the 20th for 3 weeks, so I expect to build many cages haha (or just sit on a beach drinking cans (beers) ). Just need to finish the front of this and I'll be set. I like your idea, I wonder if i get some 2mm or 3mm, steel sheet, how hard it would be to copy the rails and cut them out without any fancy tools.... might be a nice side project! |
