Default Scale shocks

I am in the process of building a 2.2 SCX-10 with an HPI Bronco Body. I am planning on using the Scale shocks with internal springs from rc4wd. With 2.2 should I go with the 100mm shocks or should I go with the 90mm shocks?

http://rc4wdstore.com/product_info.p...roducts_id=692

I was thinking of 100 due to the larger tires but thought someone out there may have some insight on this.

Thanks,

TL

i'm running the rc4wd dual rate scale shocks on mine. i'm running the 90mm ones. they will look more scale on this truck in my opinion. only cause it's 4 linked. i honestly think should have went with the 100mm ones. they ride height as dropped a little with these shocks. they are very nice though. i only went with these size shocks cause a saw a few people here that had them. i would run 100mm shocks if i were you. i compared the 90mm dual spring shocks to the stock shocks and they are shorter.

Those shocks are STIFFFFF!!!! I had a set and with the springs in side they would barely move. Maybe others have had better luck though. I had to notch the shock piston as well to get some better oil flow.

Can you remove the springs and put softer ones in? When thinking about my full scale rig and the coils it uses they are very stiff as well.

So maybe if you can remove the springs and use it more like a shock absorber than have the coil seperate like a 1:1 rig than it would work well.
