for an esc get the novak crawler setup with the 55T motor

controller i would just find a traxxas tq3 and reciever

servo you can find tower pro 995 or a hitec servo

all of these will keep you in that budget mark

what about batteries and charger do you have those?

45T for better wheel speed (use a 20T pinion gear part number AX30578 instead of the 14T) http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...P?I=LXULP0&P=8
Novak Rooster Crawler ESC (there is a 45T motor ESC combo for $100 from tower hobies)

put weights in your tires
Move your battery tray up front
Take your time building the shocks so they do not leak
If your realy strapped for cash I have 4 AM radios laying around and Ill hook you up on the cheap.

I am in the process of doing the same thing, building an SCX10 for not too much money. After being on this forum and researching for a couple of months here is what I have found to be a good setup:

Tekin 45t Motor W/ FX-R ESC Crawler Combo:
http://www.montanascaledesigns.com/s...osbt8oc95q7ao7

Hitec 5645MG servo:
http://www.shop.rpphobby.com/product...&productId=381

Tactic TTX240 2.4GHz Transmitter/receiver:
https://www.ultimatehobbies.com/ista...N%2FA&subsize=

Get a 7.2 volt 6 cell 3300 NiMH from:
http://www.cheapbatterypacks.com

DuraTrax Onyx 200 AC/DC Sport Peak Charger:
http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LXTCJ8&P=ML

That setup will get you up and running with high quality components without spending an arm and a leg doing so.

Default Try This

Compare prices in the Vendor section for new parts. You could buy a star and check the for sale section, because there might be great deals on the parts you need in that section.

some parts listed up there are good to start with and keep, just do a little more research on which items you want since electronics and stuff stay with you long after youve let go of a rig. GL
