I had him build this truck with the RC4WD 110mm scale shocks, but soon realized they suck. so....I did the traxxas rod end mod just like everyone does on the traxxas shocks and added the +5mm lower rod end to get the Pro-Lines to the proper length so i could use them....and im really glad i did. they are ultra smooth I also stretched the wheelbase to 11 11/16" while still using modded lower links. stock was about 11 3/8".

next on the list was a rear truss. I decided to try my luck and make one.

first, i made a very simple jig...

then started building the truss out of 1/8" plate and 3/16" solid steel rod

mockup pics....

It sits about 1/8" higher above the axle housing than i was wanting it too, but other than that im very pleased with the way it turned out....

Overall im very happy with the truck. It climbs like a billy goat and the suspension is really smooth and predictable. heres a few pics from the LRC comp this past weekend... I was really surprised when this rig made it 2/3 of the way up a VERY steep bonus gate on one of the 2.2 courses

the more i stared at the truss i build last night the more i hated it. so I cut it all apart and started on a new one. I'm liking this one much better! the links are still a little high off the axle, but they are much lower than the other one. what do yall think???
