Will the stock pinion that comes with the SCX10 work ok and the stock spur gear? I am running the novak goat 3s and 18.5 motor.

yup, this is the setup I run. Plenty of low end and still good wheelspeed with a 2S lipo. Also, no heat problems w/ motor or speed control.
