Default SCX-10 TR with Hilux body

Is or has anyone run an SCX10 TR with Hilux boy. Will the body fit with the TR bumpers? Any pics would be great. Thinking about doing a truggy and want to use the TR bumpers. Thanks

I have a TR and a Toyota Hilux, I checked it out and the bumpers are to wide. It doesnt look right. The body fits no problem but the bumpers are to big. The honcho bumpers might work, still waiting for delivery on that as its backordered.

I used piece 6 from the W parts tree for the hilux. Used a screw in the existing hole in the chassis in the rear, through the chassis brace, into piece 6, and secured it with a locknut. I measured the second hole for piece 6 and drilled a second hole in the chassis and also secured it with a screw/locknut.

I used some HPI body mounts I had laying around and angled them in to match the spacing on the bed.

For the front I cut a piece of acrylic and mounted it between the front shock towers and mounted another HPI body mount there in the center. I'll take pics of it tomorrow in the daylight for you.

The stock TR bumpers/sliders just don't look right when used with a Hilux body, IMO.

Here's pics of the body mounts:

I think the sliders look fine, it seems like you just need to lower the body. It could just be the pics and ill take your word on it, but they look like all the custom sliders that people are making and selling for the hilux.

To each their own, I guess. The bumpers and sliders fit the stock TR body great, but with this body, I think they look like crapola.

The body won't go much lower because of the shock hoops in the rear and I don't feel like cutting out the bed.

Point well taken, if the body can't be easily dropped then the gap does make it look a little off, good thing there are so many great custom fab folks on here to hook up some new sliders and bumpers, anyone check out DMG new stuff for the SCX. Looks sick. Nice build by the way man.
