I don't know which of the three is to blame, but there is nothing even available here in anything longer than a 10" wheelbase. Damn! Searched websites and the stores tonight. Nada. |

I saw a couple at Walmart when I went there last week, but I wasn't on the hunt for one then. One was an F-150, there was an FJ Cruiser as well.

Looks like Toys r Us south of the border has the better selection. Saw a few LR3s and stuff, but nothing with a 12"+ wheelbase. Walmart was all short stuff as well. I may just order online from a US retailer. Been watching eBay. People ask more for bodies on there than complete cars. Weird. Just out of curiosity, which New Bright vehicles are long WB? I know about the 4 door Jeep. How about the FJ? Anything that'll save me from running around a store with a measuring tape. |

I'll be stalking the local Walmarts for a while. New stock is coming in for Xmas. You never can tell what's coming in next.

I know the Source in my town had a 4door JK...$89 i think it was.and $109 after X-mas or something..but it had "mud" painted on the front end. there was also a 2 Dr jeep..with a slightly shorter wheelbase with mud on it as well...and there was another vehicle...I forget what it was.

That 4 door JK is the one I'd like to get my hands on. I'll have to check Source as well. Which reminds me, in the way of information for our American pals on the board here...this is a sad story for an electronics nerd like me... Radio Shack Canada was bought out by Circuit City probably 10 years ago. At that time they were renamed "The Source by Circuit City." Well, we all know what happened to Circuit City, don't we? So it was shortened to "The Source" and the product lines morphed from Tandy and all kinds of electronic stuff to cheap Chinese doo-dads and home entertainment. You can hardly find an LED in the stores these days. Around the time that the Shack was bought out, someone on the company's Canadian board realized that Circuit City hadn't actually bought the name, only the assets. They tried reviving the stores by buying out ones that were failing, but were unsuccessful. Anyway, I know it was a total non sequitur, but it's a story close to my nerdy heart. There you go. |

Checked the Source website and there are dozens of the 4 door JK available within spitting distance! Thanks for the tips guys. Now I've got to convince the wife that I need this.

I bought 4 of the New Bright JK's at Costco for 50 bucks each! They are black and silver, you can also get them with the muddy look as well!

| new bright bodies
If you want a new bright body. Contact New bright. Every time I have bought a New Bright R/C it has come with a order form for different bodies and or replacement bodies. This might be a thing of the past. But it's worth a try. Good luck. You might also try to find one on ebay or toysrus web sites.
