Not sure where I'd put all that stuff though. I like the scale gas tank location at the back of the chassis (since it does resemble an XJ tank once it's back there), but then where to put the ESC?

Ah well...gonna have to tear into it tonight and do some figurin.

sounds good, just make a small plate that goes where the radio box is"thumbsup"

Hacked together a new battery tray...the rx is currently servo taped to the servo and the ESC is sitting above that on what's left of a Spektrum servo box (don't ask, I've never even owned a Spektrum servo).

Took it for a quick spin around the living room crawlin' course, and it's a LOT less tippy!

Swapped sides on the transmission (when mocking up the radio box in the back with the ESC in it...that was a short lived idea) and decided not to put it back. Too much damn work :P

Thanks for the input thus far, gents.

And now you get to see the hacked up cluster**** of "wat du hail is goin on dere?"

Picked up a Parkzone 1300? whatever it is 3 cell, moved the ESC and RX to the battery tray, and got the body mostly trimmed up (probably gonna pick up some Dingo flares for it) and the rear 91mm links chopped down to 1/2" shorter than they were (1/2" is like 12.7mm, so now they're 79?mm...whatever it is, made it the right length :D )

Got the XJ body painted up...just used what was layin around. Eventually it'll get an OD painted XJ detailed nicely, but for a first crawler...this sucker's gonna get HAMMERED.
