is it better to run a 4 link or the stock setup for the honcho ?

That is somewhat up to personal preference. I have 2 SCX-10s one is custom 4 link front and rear and one is stock style 3 link front and rear. I can honestly say there isn't a huge difference in there capabilities when rock cralwing, but the 4 link works a little better in the high speed desert racing sections.
