Default Custom Chassis mount Servo Install

I know that there are kits available, but i wanted to do it on my own. The only part of the truck that was modified was the one steering link, the rest is a drop in that utilizes the lower bracket and battery tray as heat sinks for the servo. let me know what you think and how i could improve.

Do you get any bumpsteer issues with that setup? If so how much?

But nice thinking and way to be creative!

Looks good for your first shot.

However, you should try to reconfigure it so that the servo spline points down. With the way you have it set-up, you won't be able to achieve full right steering lock.

And the battery tray won't act like much of a hat sink if your servo case is plastic.

There is mild to little bump steer, i have it adjusted out on the remote, as far as full steering range, i have full left and right to the stops on the knuckles at all possible suspension angles, this was the biggest challenge and involved revision of the steering arm 3 times which was a pain since it is made of stainless bar. the Servo center housing is aluminum so hopefully it will conduct heat well.

Thanks for the input all, i took it out today and thrashed it in the mud pit for an hour and the setup worked great, had nice torque, we will see if it will have enough for the TSL's when they arrive this week.
