well i finally decided to ditch the hard bodies and go with a lexan body. so far its been a lot cheaper. I went from a hilux build to this jk build. all work donr by me. wife and two kids(1s a newborn) so dont have to much time so my work is kinda sloppy but does the job.. lmk what you guys think.

run down.
scx10 dingo wheel base metal links and 4 linked f/r
under the hood novak 2s goat
fuel 2- 2s 2200 mah lipos one on each side l/r
powerstrokes all the way around

then I mig welded a front bumper with stinger and grill guard.

so then I was crawling and hated the fact that the fenders kept binding up and it would flip over to easy with the roc loxs so I did away with fenders. I made a rear bumper and sliders from front to rear.( brazed) and went back to stock wheels and tires.

BTW everything is "bolt on" so if i ever want to go a different route the frame is un touched. Some ppl like to weld on the frame rails but I change my scalers look too often.

Looks good. I'm using the Hitec 5645 in one of my rigs and love it. About 160oz on 6v and only $45.

SO it does great on rocks but when it comes down to hill climbs is not too great and going up big rocks. I think its the wheel base that makes the difference on up hill climbs. I am going to use the honcho wheel base and see what it does for me. Im going to have to do some rebrazing on the rear. I will get some pics up as soon as I start on it.
as for now i got my hilux running

Ok so I finally got time to work on the hilux and its ready for action. So is the driver and he brought his scaler.
bobbed the bed but it still needs finishing touches. Since I dont have time to do a bed drop I just made a bed cover. I also redid my battery plates/ sliders so that the cab now has two mounting screws for better protection when rolling. I still have a ton of things I want to do but until i get some time Im going to roll like this.
