I like 10-24 with 1/4" tube. Very beefy.

Anybody make their own links?

I'll second the 10-24 with .250" tubing. If you go to mcmaster-carr you can get everything you need shipped to you.
I use stainless tubing and all thread, no rust and can polish it like chrome if you want. There are several grades of stainless, and some bend better than others. Read the descriptions and read which one you need.
I have also been told that 8-32 and aluminum tubing or delrin tubing does a good job for scalers that aren't going to get rammed in to things at high speed..

ALSO, buy some REVO and JATO ends and when you order your stuff from mcmaster carr, order a 10-24 tap to go with them. Use the tap to put some threads in the rod end before you install and then put a bit of CA+ on the threads. Works GREAT and they will come apart if needed.

I have the Revo ends. Was going to use 8-32 all-thread, but couldn't find 1/4" round stock that would work

Might try the brake line

8/32, autozone brake line and revo ends. They are rock solid and should last many years.

I did the 8/32 with brake line and revo ends. Very happy with the results. I have them on the front, and the axial aluminum links in the rear. Now that they are all scratched up, you really need to look twice to see the difference.

installed on the front (all the green paint has been rubbed off since then)
