Default playin in the creek...

went to my moms property where shes got a creek and figured id try out my attempt on water proofing my truck....
part truck, part submarine!

needless to say, it worked great. i was in the water for over an hour.

i do think its weird the remote looses signal if the reciever is only a couple inches under water...

Wow........

Nice waterproofing Bobd. That type of wheeling is the most fun. I waterproof all of my rigs so they can submerge. Just make sure you upkeep maintenance. Like oil the bearings after, and pull apart axles and trans every so often to empty out what gets in there and re grease. I oil every bearing with light gun oil after a dunk in the H20. I just use whatever gun oil, etc I have around. A drop or two on each exposed bearing surface and let it soak in, then give it some throttle to let it work its way around. Wipe of excess. I have not had any bearing seize up due to rust, etc as I have always done this. And I end up in water or mud most every run I do. The maintenance pays off.

Yea I spent quite a bit of time with the plasti-dip, I dumped it in a bottle with a fine point meant for oil and it worked great for getting every little corner/hole. I just picked up some more oil to lube everything up
