| Wraith axels on honcho
Hey guys found a few topics but nothing that could really answer my questions. Can I put wraith axles on my honcho? What would I need to fit them? Scx10 links or wraith links? Bent or straight? |

I have done this. let me first off say they work pretty good on the honcho if setup right. but you do have to mod some thing to get them to fit. i will start by saying i modded the honcho to the 4 link suspention setup before i put the axles under. First you should change the ends on your lower link to the ones with the 45 bend in them. next you will need to either make new upper links with a bend in them to clear the drive shaft or make a plate and move the mounting point by the motor. i made a plate for the upper links. also had to change the lenght. easy way it so change the rod ends and use the long ones in the wraith kit. next i used the wraith shocks but did not want to get more ride height. so i made some plates to move the upper shock mount to allow the truck to keep the same ride height but allow more twist in the axles. i the end it was alot better on the trail. there are some spots where the stock axles will fit though places better. but on side hills the truck will not roll over as easy. also i turned the motor plate around. to put the output of the transmission on the drivers side of the truck. It is not a hard thing to do but they do not bolt right on. some things need to be changed. but i think worth it in the end. i have put the axles back under the wraith and put a truck body on the wraith and on the last trail run. i did not like it as much on the trail. the wheel base was too long. so i will be going back to the honcho with wraith axle. |

Just buy some threaded rod and Traxxas Revo/Jato rod ends. You may need to bend the upper links to clear the driveshafts but other than that, easy. |

I've got bent links so clearance shouldn't be a problem. Do I use the wraith skid or the honcho skid?

It will never work with the one green link. It's been tried with major failures. Looks good. Use the scx skid..... Bend upper links. It's best to do like above and use 4mm toob and jato rod ends. Make your own links and bend upper to clearance. |

Anywhere that carries k&s metal products.... Hobby shop... Some hardware stores. Size is 1/4 inch .049 inch. Part number is 3061 I believe. Use traxxas jato rod ends pt number 5525.... And 4mm tap and 4mm set screws. I use 20 mm length. Tower hobbies sells all you need. Just saw you were in Australia...... |

Any brake line tube bender will work also. thats what i have used. also. i seen you still had the wraith transmission plate in there. i would use the scx10 plate. and keep the wheelbase close to the honcho. i have mine at 350mm right now and do not like it as much as 315mm. the 315mm wheelbase can go over stuff better. |

Yep..... Won't need to use bit on tube..... But ya got a bit for 4mm now. Never hurts to have it and 3mm tap and bit around for making things. Just use tap handle and vise grips to hold tube. Go a third of the way in... Remove and clean off.... Go two thirds.... Pull out and clean then run again. Keeps from stripping. You will get the hang of it. I use small pipe cutter to cut my tube. Makes great cuts. Sometimes if u get one that strips a bit just clamp a little in vice and re insert rod end. Pm me if you have issues ill try to help ya from a far
