I dont see why not all you got to do is take the stocker off and slam the new shocks on.

That's gonna jack your ride up pretty high if you don't lay them down. Are you puttin' 2.2's on there?

so i want to run bigger shocks so when i get my mg200deigns cage i wont have rubbing problems with my 2.2's. my rocksliders give it a body lift, but would much rather have a suspension lift done right. currently i'm on the stock 90mm's and wonder if the 130mm's will help clear

That looks really good. I just purchased a scx10and have been deciding what too do next with it. How did you go about making the tube frame?

I just slapped some slash4x4 shocks on mine. You'll have to use all fronts though. The rears are too short

Did anyone do this? Trying either 120mm or 110mm but want to know the pros and cons of these setups with longer shocks?

105mm (or 4.1inch) shocks, with 2.2 moab tires. (hight = 127mm or 5inch)

This is the ride hight: (hint, don't watch to the dirt )

Hope you see now, that 130mm shocks are insane long.

I would think 130mm is way to long. I put on 100mm and it jacked the height and COG up but I also installed 2.2's so it was balanced out. If you want just mount your stock shocks a 1/4" lower down on the shock bracket. That will give you lift and an idea of how longer shocks will look and perform without wasting money.

130mm is very long. However you can probably keep the cog lower if you run really soft springs and light shock oil so that it droops. Not quite a droop set up, but enough to compress the shocks half way at rest.

i run 110mm with 1.9 tires and i love it mounted them at inner most hole on shock towers adjusted spring to the weight of the vehicle and changed the shock oil to team associated 40wt silicone shock oil

Is it really necessary to find one old shock thread after another and spam the same video?
