Re: Rubicon kit VS RTR - input appreciated

I purchased the kit version and I'm glad.. The aluminum shocks are so much better than the stock plastic ones.. and all the aluminum links and steering links are a plus! And I love the hard top!

Of course the kit is a big plus if you have the money or the electronic parts for it. I do love the Icon shocks you get with the kit though! I changed mine to the 100mm kings shocks as i wanted more of a crawler than going on trails. I was thinking to get myself the kit jeep and add wraith axles to it just a thought...

Thanks for all the responses.

Ill be content with the RTR based off all the responses, and great lookin truck buddamonk.

I am now debating between the Honcho and the Rubicon, are they exactly the same except cage/body? I like the looks of the Rubicon better as far as stock goes...but I would like to swap out to a Clod body pretty quick, or try my hand at an ext cab F250 body. If there's no difference between the Honcho and Rubicon, I may just save the $25-30 and use it towards the new body.

Re: Rubicon kit VS RTR - input appreciated

I bought the RTR version myself about 2 weeks ago. And after owning it for about 5 hours I picked the whole thing apart to grease and add loctite where needed.
I also relocated the battery to the front and electronics to the back.

I havent started to order upgrade parts yet. But the truck is VERY capable right out of the box. And by just moving the battery to the front you will notice a pretty big difference :)

Either way you cant go wrong with this truck :)
