Guys I have 2currie jeeps one has battery near front and other in rear they are 3s 5000 mah batts"thumbsup" the one in rear climbs and manuvers better on trail climbing! Noticed same issue with wraith daughters climbs similar to my front mounted system.

What about rock crawling with the scx10s? Probably better to have it up front i'm guessing?

Even better yet keep it centered and low. The lower the better period, and the lowest place you can put it is between the wheels near the transmission.

I temporarily zip tied two 3s 2100 LiPo's to each of muh plastic slider(s) on muh Honcho.

Took 'er out to my rock garden in the yard... for some testing
and was immediately impressed with how much better it rolled thru the rock garden.

^ ummm... well... more like house sized boulders if they were scaled to the truck.

Even attempted to get 'er tippy... and was impressed with how far
she would go... before it became a flop.

Granted I have tire weights on all four...
and a 55T mtr for slow speed and smoother/linear torque.

I like how my dual battery set up handles better then muh single 2s 5000 in the stock forward position. Less tippy for sure !

Think I'll be making some permanent battery mounts on the slider rails.

Regardless... the RipSaws ignored the wet.
Didn't think much of the muddy patches neither.

I'm building a new KOH rig now and that's exactly how I'm setting up batteries. Twin parallels on the sliders.

When I was running a 3000 nimh stick I had it crosswise right behind the trans. That was way better than the stock front position. Now I'm running a 2s 5100 lipo saddle pack, and have them mounted one on top of each slider. Works great!

This is where I run my battery on my Rubicon, I'm going to do something similar with the Honcho.
