things i have made for my scx10. my mod thread post build. So I decided to rename this thread because I can't stop making parts for my Jeep So I didn't like plate design of my other mount I think it was Level3, no offense, but I was getting a lot of binding. So I figured if it was mounted at an angle it would get better flex and less binding. So I made this. http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/08/16/y9ajy8uj.jpg It is 1/8th inch thick by 1/4inch wide. Soldered to a strap bolted to the bumper mount. This is the under side best I could get. http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/08/16/6y4ede3u.jpg Tested it in the back yard and so far so good. I will take it out the next chance I get and take a close up off the truck. thanks for looking. now to make a battery mount to go over it. Sent from my XT907 using Tapatalk 4 |
Nice! |
Re: New chassis mounted servo. less bulk That's a great mod dude. Question, can you still use the front mounted battery tray? |
That was my next plan. I'm going to make a mount that bolts to the frame. I'll post pictures when I get it done. @tomanyprojects thank you. Sent from my XT907 using Tapatalk 4 |
Re: New chassis mounted servo. less bulk i want one but my prob is i have the GCM front motor mount theres no space |
Show me a side view. I will take a look and see if I can do something Sent from my XT907 using Tapatalk 4 |

Re: New chassis mounted servo. less bulk what style of suspension do you run up front? I don't see a panhard in the pics. |
4 link front and back. Stock axial lowers and spaced out 55mm uppers. Sent from my XT907 using Tapatalk 4 |
Re: New chassis mounted servo. less bulk normal width of scx10 but from the front mount to the spur i only have 22mm of depth http://i39.tinypic.com/nf1cly.jpg sry for dirty I use my truck 8) |
So I got a few better angles on it and also started on making a mount to go over it for the battery mount it will clear the servo by almost 1/4 inch. http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/08/17/2e6enevy.jpg I also put stock shocks back on so I can use the droop kit on my wroncho. They flex a lot better thank the hr shocks. Clears the r2dd linkage by a hair but it works. http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/08/17/yvedusuq.jpg http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/08/17/uda7uhu3.jpg http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/08/17/age4y6ed.jpg http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/08/17/ejesaqy6.jpg Sent from my XT907 using Tapatalk 4 |

Looking at where the shock mounts are in relationship to where the Stevie is on mine, just at more of an angle it would clear. Sent from my XT907 using Tapatalk 4 |
Re: New chassis mounted servo. less bulk so its just 2 straps on eather side of the servo doesnt it move with just one screw in the strap to the front mount |
There is two one on Both sides. And no it's pretty solid. I think I might tire it in to the battery mount Sent from my XT907 using Tapatalk 4 |
Ok so I finally got a chance to look and there is plenty of room doing it this way. http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/08/24/vuvagymu.jpg You would have to change your front bumper mount or modify it. but a front battery mount is out of the question for you. Sent from my XT907 using Tapatalk 4 |
http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/08/24/udybagab.jpghttp://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/08/24/u7ahyqy6.jpghttp://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/08/24/rugu8y5a.jpg So I made this today...not a servo mount but I like the way it turned out. I think I might have to re name this post soon cuz I don't think I can stop making stuff. Sent from my XT907 using Tapatalk 4 |
Ok I tried to rename it to, I can't stop making things. Next is a front bumper Sent from my XT907 using Tapatalk 4 |
http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/08/26/qyge9y6a.jpg Better view of the under side of the frame for the rear bumper. http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/08/26/esyvy6a6.jpg Suspension droop mod works great. Sent from my XT907 using Tapatalk 4 |
