Default Maintance Help!

Doing some upgrades on my axles and transmission on a truck I bought used... So I did some searching and didn't find any how to's or anything on greasing the axles and tranny? Or what kinda greases to use?

I'm a bit of a newb but not a huge one.. I know how to search and did try but was unsuccessful!

Thanks

Norm

I use Lucas red n tacky in my axles and trans. In the axles I glob it on the gears and a thin coat on the beef tubes and axle shafts front and rear. Hope this helps

I use Rocksmith Engineering's Gear Jelly. It's really great stuff and all you will ever need unless you are waterproofing.

I used Team Associated's "Black Grease" for the gear mesh.
trans., servo, axles... etc.

It can be found everywhere... ebay too

suppose you could use automotive stuff...
but I prefer not to.

The "Black Grease" is very tacky and stays put...
some automotive/marine greases may not do as well.

* be sure to remove any remaining grease...
so the old does not mix with the new.
