Trump's BA Axial Jeep G6 build with a twist. Well, I’m fortunate that Christmas came early for me. I can't describe what a big smile I had when I opened up the box to see the contents. It's my intention to make this into one Bad A-- looking Jeep G6. I hope I don't disappoint. On a blue note, this could be my last build for long while. This is my forth Axial rig in a little more than 12 months. https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-3...127_163833.jpg And here is what brought a big smile to my face. Looking at the box, one can help but notice the "Jeep Licensed Product" label. I read it and ask myself, where is the "Parker Approved" label? No problem because I know it "G6 Certified." https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-w...127_164244.jpg Looking at the Jeep G6 .... I'm speechless. https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-z...127_164710.jpg Talk about motivation. I'm going to have to step up my pace on my Axial Jeep kit build. Like most of my builds this will not be a BBO (buy and bolt on) build, I'll have some customizing. Maybe not a lot, but some customizing. I hope you enjoy this build as much as I enjoy building it. Parts will be ordered soon. I never thought I would anticipate a Black Friday or Cyber Monday sale. <!--[if gte mso 9]><xml> <w:WordDocument> <w:View>Normal</w:View> <w:Zoom>0</w:Zoom> <w:Compatibility> <w:BreakWrappedTables/> <w:SnapToGridInCell/> <w:WrapTextWithPunct/> <w:UseAsianBreakRules/> </w:Compatibility> <w:BrowserLevel>MicrosoftInternetExplorer4</w:BrowserLevel> </w:WordDocument> </xml><![endif]--><!--[if gte mso 10]> <style> /* Style Definitions */ table.MsoNormalTable {mso-style-name:"Table Normal"; mso-tstyle-rowband-size:0; mso-tstyle-colband-size:0; mso-style-noshow:yes; mso-style-parent:""; mso-padding-alt:0in 5.4pt 0in 5.4pt; mso-para-margin:0in; mso-para-margin-bottom:.0001pt; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:10.0pt; font-family:"Times New Roman";} </style> <![endif]--> |
Re: Trump's BA Axial Jeep G6 build with a twist. Well, after several days, I finally broke the seals and cracked open the box. Parts or no parts, couldn't hold out any longer. https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-t...130_125246.jpg I had a small piece of aluminum scrap so I made a handle for the rear bumper. This is the first time I used aluminum for a handle. I hope it holds up. https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-x...0_122611-1.jpg I took advantage of a black Friday sale and ordered some parts. Still need more parts. I want to be sure I have all parts, excluding paint, before building . At least that's the plan for now. |
Re: Trump's BA Axial Jeep G6 build with a twist. Came home from work today and found two small packages in the mailbox. Parts are starting to trickle in ... Dumped everything out: https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-H...202_154746.jpg A little more organized. https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-e...202_155646.jpg Package came with a free poster about 18" x 24". https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-c...2_160200-1.jpg I still have to accumulate more parts. |
Re: Trump's BA Axial Jeep G6 build with a twist. Came home and found out a few more parts trickled in yesterday A bumper and Locked UP rc FI spool. "They are 'F*****g Indestructible ... hence 'FI'." https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-N...204_170521.jpg To be continued ... |

Re: Trump's BA Axial Jeep G6 build with a twist. I found a package on my porch today. Actually, there were two packages. One belonged to my son who is building a Jeep Rubicon kit. Here are my G6 certified Gear Head wheels. https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-9...5_163514-1.jpg To be continued... |
Re: Trump's BA Axial Jeep G6 build with a twist. Oh look at all the goodies going onto this truck. Should be a great build can't wait to see the final project. What are you going to run for light on this truck? |
Another subscription! I just picked up a G6 also, I have a stock Honcho, and on this build I want to improve the shocks, do you have any plans on upgrading? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

As far as the light bar, I bought a 5" VP Rigid light bar. I plan on making my own light bar mounts. I have two basic designs I've been contemplating. Quote:
What motor and ESC do you planning on running? |
I purchased an FXR 35t combo, I plan on trying a 3s. My knowledge on crawling is quite limited, and that seemed to be a common package. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Re: Trump's BA Axial Jeep G6 build with a twist. I just got home to a big-ole box of Jeep! Looking through at the pics I finally noticed it has no bumper....call me odd, but it bothers me. not sure I'll do the one with the swing out tire carrier or the plain-jane 2 led bumper....which brings me to lights, I need some of those too! whatever I do get for lights I would like to control with my 3rd channel. |

As far as controlling your lights, take a look at HeyOK Performance. I suggest contacting Al via RCC and let him know what you're looking for. He'll recommend the right part for you. It's nice being able to control your lights with your radio. |
