| I lost my battle with the Addiction
Well I tryed to fight it but I lost I recently bought a used scaler from another sight and have been working on it ever sence. It had an x trail frame Scx10 trans and axles Traxxas shocks Titan 12 turn brushed motor Ae2 ESC And Hard nameless tires With this setup it was always out of control. I moved the battery , body posts, and electronics. Changed the ESC to a Tekin fxr and the motor is now an epic 45 turn Changed the traxxas shocks to stock Scx10 shocks Cleaned and greases the axles and trans Moved the servo to a frame mount Put on some RC4wd tires and beadlocks I need to add some weight to the wheels But it seem to crawl quite well for now I have some spair parts and I just can't stand for that so I've traded some tires and wheels for a Scx10 chassis. I'll have to see where that goes Last edited by nolan533; 07-05-2014 at 02:48 AM. |

Looks great man. The addiction of rc...it haunts every rc guy out there. I have 7 rigs right now, one of which I just finished a build on and I'm starting another huge project later this year..really excited. I'm going to build an extreme, expensive, axial wraith. I'm out of my mind right now making the parts lists, it adds up to like 1,500 and I thought to myself...this cost so much, I don't give a sh!t about the price anymore lollollol I'm excited as I said anyways good luck with your rig and have fun.

I've been into RC form the mid 80s on and off, (Yes in old) mostly flying. Right now I have a GWS Slow Stick, 2 quadcopters, a Stampede that I put a crowd pleaser body on and my scx10 here. The go fast stuff I get board with. I just got into the crawling and scaling two years ago. But due to an unexpected death in the family I had to get out for awhile. I like building and working on my rigs as much as driving them. I don't have the skill that some of the members here possess but I have fun doing what I can. |

Is not just about skill level, its putting your vision together so it pleases you and the performance you are designing for. I know the feeling....I see some of the talent here and think, holy crap I SUCK! But like you I have been smitten with this hobby since I got my Tamiya Fox in the mid 80's! Rig looks and seems to perform well....keep building as "you are never finished"! _______________________________ Axial, Wraith, Wrexo, SX10-10JK, SCX10 Truggy and Sakura Zero VTA spec. - Yep addicted.......! |
