Yeah, I'm curious about those shocks as well. Enjoy your truck, it's addictive.

here is a better pic of the shocks, im hoping they fit ok. There were longer ones but they looked a bit big. There is no name on them. they are all aluminum and they seem like they will work, im putting together the shocks right now so when im done i can put a compare shot up if u want.

Ok here is the shock comparison, i left the new ones in the package in case i need to exchange them Looks to be same size, but the packaged ones are fatter. You think they will work ok without too much hassle?

Those would be perfect for my rig. I think they'd work awesome, once you get them out of the package you'll be able to tell if the spring rates and what not are do able. If the need spaced off the chassis a little more, just throw a lil bigger spacer or washer on there.

Is there a brand name, symbol, anything on them? Maybe try to get ahold of your LHS, see if they can get you any info on them.

Things went pretty smooth. I missing a couple bits im kit. 1 screw for putting the ends on the links, 2 grub scres for attaching the axel to the gearbox, and 2 4 nuts. I cut the head off a screw for the links, i had 2 grub screws from a creeper that fit and i had some m3 nuts in a tray so it worked out ok.

Getting this end together with the 550 motor wasnt fun

I think I'd maybe try to make a shim for under the transmission, so that motor can clear that screw a lil bit.

That sucks you were missing some odds and ends.

my lhs is selling tons and tons of the racers edge truggies. The motors never come back, thats why he ordered the sets for them to sell seperately. He cant sell the esc as waterproof but the company claims it is. I think he wont garuntee it because he has been burned by other "waterproof" items before.

Awesome! That's how I got my Axial kit, my then soon-to-be wife. She enjoyed seeing the progress I was making on building it and how much fun I was having while doing it.

Ok so been a while since i did anything. I picked up a used caldera from redcat and it needed a rebuild, then i wanted new tires and i got a bug body for it and well you know how that goes. Also my lhs decided to hire me to work on saturdays and help em sell more rc toys!! That on top of winter and 2 small kids and well time goes by. Anyway here is progress so far now.

Made my own bungie cords from hair elastics and paperclips (i have 2 girls 6 and 8 so hair elastics are EVERYWHERE)

The chain is actually from an old dress, going to paint it silver or black or something.

I also have the interior from proline going in but thats drying right now.
