Using 4 link from the Deadbolt RTR

Hi all,
I am in a bit of a quandary. I recently bought the scx10 Deadbolt. I read on the Axial site that the truck can be 4 linked, which is what I did. Now my question is; should I stay with the factory truss or should I use the ST Racing 4 link plate?

The factory truss works fine with an axle-mounted servo, with a CMS a 3link setup with panhard rod is a better idea.

T4rscott..........I to have just got a scx10 deadbolt, I tried to 4 link the front with the truss and links from the parts bag but the links didnt seem to be the right length! Am I missing something?the front axle didnt seem to be at the correct angle.

I too had the same problem. I built my own upper and lower links.

R2j.......ive been browsing the forum for a little while and have seen your links.do you ship to the uk?do you do high clearance lower links and how much would it be for a complete set?

was mainly wondering if its actually possible to 4 Link the front with the parts from the parts bag but its obviously not :(

there doesnt seem to be any afternarket parts specificaly labeled for the deadbolt so which links would I need to get.......honcho g6 etc?

Heres my truck.....http://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/14...f8a52525b2.jpg

Homemade steering link, bumper relocation bracket/bash guard, trimmed body and no bumpstops, modded rock sliders and custom plate to stop the servo catching the frame rail at full flex.

All in the first week of ownership[emoji6]

This is my first crawler.

Forgot to add ive swapped the skid plate round (I know its not the proper way to mirror the tranny but I want to keep the cover and its helped a bit......had to move the esc onto the receiver box), siliconed the recevier box and servo aswell as pack the axels and transmission with water proof greese, have had it upto stigs neck in water and all seems fine.added weight to the front to balance the battery being at the back still (its amazing where you can hide car wheel weights lol).

I love the Axial truss. I wish they had come up with it a long time ago. It's all I would have used over the years. It attaches in two places and is low profile and fits under the servo plate nicely.

Not to mention the placement of the bolts puts less torque on the plastic holes in the axles. Someone needs to make an aluminum version of this!

Either Vanquish or ST Racing makes one
