| Jeep TJ 1 Ton Build
I have had my SCX10 for over a year now and recently decided to build a Jeep TJ with slight influences from my old 1:1 (Pretty much just color) ***Edit*** Keep in mind this is my very first build and every thing is being done on the living room floor and the kitchen counter (apartment living). So dont be to harsh on me! This is what I started out with and my 1:1 in the background. Then Bought this on eBay Removed Stickers and Prep for Paint This is after the paint. Inca Gold Metallic I decided to cut up the stock tire carrier and make a back cover/Tire holder. Last edited by FirstIn; 12-06-2014 at 05:35 PM. |

I mounted the body flat on the frame so the stock seats and center console didnt work anymore so I made a bench seat and small console. This is before paint. This is whats underneath the rear cover and tire. Interior after paint. Made up some sliders and also in the middle of making a front bumper/winch mount |

I haven't decided yet. I kind of want to shorten it a tad but I still want to keep the stretch look specially since I already comp cut the body..

For the bumper you can purchase one from rc4wd, a vendor or make your own. They can be as simple as a piece of aluminum angle. | |

Been awhile since I have updated this.. Hard to work on my jeep when Im working 100 hours a week.... Anyways got my package from RPPHobby! Integy 35T motor with 16t Pinion, Aluminum links for rear.. should have measured before I bought them, they only shortened my wheel base by about 1/16th of an inch. Oh well still nice to have metal links and I'll get shorter ones eventually, also got a set of stainless screws and nuts. |
