| What parts should I order for when mine get destroyed by new motor?
I have a SCX10 G6 and I just ordered a new motor ESC package from HH. Sensored Puller Pro BL 540 Standard 3500kv Holmes Hobbies TrailMaster BLE Pro I will be running 3s LIPO batteries. I already have MIP shafts, so what other parts will I be breaking soon? And what pinion/spur combo is recommended? Currently I think I am running 13/88. I am looking to increase speed, it crawls awesome, but is boringly slow at WOT. I choose the sensored because I believe it will still work good at low speed. I was thinking about switching to 32p all metal gears... I think I may just get a new transmission housing and all the parts to upgrade it, then I can build the new one and just swap it into the rig. Any recommendations on what parts to order if I go that route? Links would be awesome. |

Basically replace everything in your drivetrain other than the MIP shafts. HD gears, steel transmission gears, better spools (Holmes, Locked Up, Gripfab, etc), VVDs, slipper clutch, spur gear Gearing will really matter on your personal preference since the motor is so powerful that any gearing you choose won't cause harm to it. Depends on how fast you want your top end to be. 12/56 is a pretty good starting point for 32P gearing. |

The Holmes Hobbies solid transmission diff shaft. It gives you one pice output shaft. That motor is stout.

If I use the Axial housing I will get that, but If I get a different transmission or housing... Doesn't the Hot racing transmission already have a solid output shaft? | |

The SuperShafty is out of stock. Anyone know where to get one? Or should I just order all the parts and put it together myself: VP Transmission Housing Hot Racing Axial SCX10 AX10 Wraith hard steel center gears set HH Outdrive SuperShafty WRAITH & AX-10 BEEFY Top Shaft AX10 "ULTIMATE" Motor Plate Robinson Racing 32P Slipper Kit Steel Slipper(56T) That is pretty close to the same parts. Obviously I don't get the warranty plus it will cost about $25 to $35 more than the complete one. Anyone know when they will be back in stock? |

I think this will be a good start until I can figure out the transmission. Should I pull the trigger? |

A few things: 1. The spur gear you have in your cart fits trucks that came with the dual disk slipper, the G6 kit does not unless you have added it. 2. You can save $2 on the idler gear by getting the Wraith version, there is no difference Robinson Racing Hardened Steel Idler Gear Wraith 3. Throw in the RRP bottom gear too and the transmission will hold up to some pretty big power. Robinson Racing Hardened Steel Bottom Diff Gear Wraith 4. The 15 and 18T pinions will produce a SCX10 that does 20+MPH on the top end based on your motor on 3S, you probably don't need them unless you want that much speed. 1. It is the stock slipper unit, do you have a suggestion? Is this the right one? 2. Thanks! 3. Done. 4. Just getting some extra pinions to play with ratios. Last edited by ZACHM; 11-16-2015 at 05:25 PM. |

Thanks for the help. Ordered, stuff should be here in a couple days. Hopefully have it together for the weekend. I'll post either some pics or a video. |
