Default The perfect wheels for me

So I really like basic old school looking beadlocks and until recently Gearhead was my go to for my rims.

I ran across CNC Custom Wheels on Facebook and was totally taken by his deep dish rims.

Today I mounted up my new pair of 1.9 SLW 8-Hole deep dish with my KLR's and couldn't be any happier.

The rings and hardware are from LockedUpRC.

She isn't very scale yet. I need to sort out my front tie-rod still, make the servo black, install fender wells and flares

Over an inch. Tires are mounted so I cannot measure the rims. But they are wide like Gearhead rims.

Go low weight wheels like VP's with wideners or even the Gearhead aluminum no-beadlock rims if you plan to race.

I just/finally ordered the SSD knuckles and ateering links. The knuckles raise the tie-rod enough to clear the pumpkin and all obstacles.

@ Vengence - I took your advice and went with the VP Method 105 beadlocks in clear. Not as cool as your wheels but pretty cool!

Right on. Remember, it isn't bout matching perceived coolness. It is all about what you like and what fits your needs.

I do recommend the delrin wheel wideners for the VP rims. Makes them wider and WAY easier to mount.

This is the link to that thread, New "VP Wheel Widners" for VP Method and KMC Enduro Wheels

Thank you! I appreciate it. I went with these hubs called "Shifts" which allow you to get practically any offset by way of different size spacers.

Another feature I liked about the shifts is they eliminate the need for the 12mm hexes. I just ordered some pins from a member here which are supposed to be really strong as well.

Going to read that thread you posted now (I hope I am not ruining your wheel thread)

Ruining? Never...

I hadn't heard of those hubs before, I'm going to have to check those out.

See? If ut weren't for you posting on this thread I'd not have heard of those hubs.

Let me know what you think about them once you use them for a bit.

J

Yes I will let you know for sure. The company is called lattice innovations. A member here makes them but I purchased mine from TCScrawlers.com.

Those VP wheel wideners are a great idea- I just ordered a set of CI Double Deuce Single stage closed cell foams & some voodoo u4 "silver" tires to go with the VP wheels so those wideners might be the ticket. Thanks again

They'll make the contact surface flatter and ease mounting.

Hey Vengence- Those Method 105 wheels in clear came in today! So glad I took your advice on those- they are increadible.

I know alot of guys have em and they are over it but I never saw a set in person until today and like the saying goes "The pictures don't do it justice".

Thanks again sir!

Oh I forgot - did you use any blue thread lock on the outside beadlock?
